Tyre Pyrolysis Process – How a Tyre Pyrolysis Machine Works

The entire reaction process goes through multiple systems and components. Understanding the tyre pyrolysis process will help you find a suitable model.

Feeding and Preheating

You can choose manual or automatic feeding. We provide you with belt conveyors, hydraulic feeders, and automatic screw feeders. After putting the raw materials into the reactor and sealing the door of the reactor, start the burner for preheating. When the reactor temperature reaches about 150 degrees, oil and gas production will begin. The whole process takes about two hours.

Reacting

Oil and gas first enter the manifold from the reactor. The function of the manifold is to separate the sludge oil from the oil and gas. The syngas is then directed to the cooling system oil condenser for liquefaction. In this way, the pyrolysis oil remains in the tank. The non-condensable gas passes through the water seal, which acts as a safety device for purifying the gas and preventing backfire. Uncondensed combustible gases are returned to the combustion chamber to burn instead of fuel. Usually, the preheating burner can be turned off 2 hours after the system starts to generate oil and gas.

De-Dusting

The flue gas reaches the dust removal tower after passing through the flue condenser. The flue condenser reduces the flue gas temperature from 400 degrees to 200 degrees. The hot flue gas is absorbed by two layers of ceramic rings and released after spraying water in the tower.

Discharging

After the reaction, the reactor temperature needs to be cooled to 100 degrees. The whole process takes about 7 hours. The carbon black is discharged from the end of the reactor by the auto discharger and cooling discharger. Finally, it enters the ash tank. This process lasts for two hours.

Wire Extraction

When the feed is the whole tire, the extraction of the steel wire is done by pulling it with a forklift. When the feed is large tire shreds, you can extract them through the small discharge door located at the front of the reactor.

Tyre Shredder

Tyres with a diameter of less than 1200mm can directly enter the main furnace. When they are larger than 1200mm, tyres need to be shredded. In addition, depending on the feeding method you choose, the crushing size that the tyre needs is different. You can consult us for specific solutions.

Tyre Powder Machine

Fully automatic equipment has higher requirements on the feed size. This requires a tyre powder machine. When using BLL-30 to treat tyres, they should be powder with a particle size of 1-5mm. In addition, since BLL-16 adopts automatic screw feeding, the feeding size does not exceed 10mm.

Oil Distillation System

If you have higher requirements for the quality of pyrolysis oil, we recommend that you choose an oil distillation system. After the tire pyrolysis oil is further distilled to remove gasoline components, you can get non-standard diesel which has a higher price. This means you can earn more profits.
