Pyrolysis reactor is the key equipment for pyrolysis. Beston has different pyrolysis reactor designs to choose from, including skid-mounted design, semi-continuous design and fully continuous design. They are commonly used to convert old tires, plastic, rubber, oil sludge into liquid oil. But the reactor design will influence the distribution of raw materials, oil yield, etc. Each one differs from the others. Below are more features for your reference. Welcome to contact Beston for a customized proposal.
Beston Pyrolysis Reactor Design
Beston has 5 models of pyrolysis machines for sale, which include skid-mounted (moveable base), rotary, and fixed (horizontal) pyrolysis reactors. The reactor is used to loading raw materials, which is heated to produce oil gas. Beston pyrolysis reactor material is mainly made of Q245R boiler steel, which is 16 mm in thickness, which makes the reactor durable to use. More than that, we adopt advanced technology, like automatic welding, ultrasonic flaw detection, to make sure its safety. Below are more details for your reference.

Continuous Pyrolysis Reactor
Beston continuous pyrolysis reactor works more efficiently. With an automatic feeder, the raw material keeps moving forward and absorbs heat for pyrolysis, and then produces pyrlysis oil and gas. Also, it uses U-shaped tubes inside to speed up the pyrolysis process.
Features:
- Continuous working, large capacity;
- Indirect heating. U-shaped tube design inside to heat up the materials quickly;
- Real-time monitoring of various parameters in the reactor.

How to Build a Pyrolysis Reactor?
Beston Group Co., LTD. offers installation services. Also, we will provide you with a customized layout design once we get your order. So you can build the foundation when we prepare your machines. Once you receive the machine and get the basic construction works ready, we will send our engineers on-site for your installation. Beston provides online and onsite installation guidance to support your project.
How to Choose A Suitable Pyrolysis Reactor?
As mentioned, the reactor will influence the distribution of raw materials and the working method. Below are the differences between rotary and fixed reactors.
Reactor Types | Rotary Reactor | Fixed Reactor |
Feeding Method | Manually (whole tyres ) or Automatic (shredded tires) | Automatic (rubber powder) |
Foundation | Required | No need |
Working Method | Batch / Semi-continuous | Continuous |
Feeding Capacity | 1-15 ton/batch | 20-24 ton |
Heating Method | Direct heating | Indirect heating |
Generally, the rotary reactor is commonly used in batch plants. The raw materials can be fed manually and then heat the reactor for pyrolysis. You can feed in the whole tyres or shredded tires. The latter one can improve the pyrolysis efficiency and the actual feeding capacity. Then it needs 8-10 hours to cool down for another batch. While the fixed one is continuous, which is equipped with an automatic feeding system and discharging system. So you can discharge while feeding. It means you need more auxiliary equipment, which will increase your investment cost. Below is a pyrolysis machine video for your reference.
Beston Tips
Different pyrolysis reactor types have their features. What you need is to buy from reliable pyrolysis reactor manufacturers. Then choose a suitable one according to your own conditions. So before choosing a reactor, please ask yourself the questions below:
- What raw materials will you process?
- How many tons will you process per day?
- How much will you spend on this project?
- Is it expensive to hire a worker in your place?
- How large the available space do you have?
- Your local environmental protection policy.
