Each component performs a critical function to ensure efficient conversion from raw materials to products. The functions of the main components of a pyrolysis plant are discussed in detail below.

Feeding System
We provide customers with three feeding methods: manual/hydraulic/screw. However, different feeding methods have certain requirements for material size. Please contact us in advance to help you choose the best feeding method.
According to different raw materials, we recommend customers to choose the corresponding main furnace material. For example, when processing plastics, 310S stainless steel, which is resistant to high temperature corrosion, is best.
This component can cool oil gas to obtain pyrolysis oil. Customers can choose between a tubular condensation system or a 3-1 condensation system.
Output System
This system is mainly responsible for the discharge of solid residues in the reactor. The standard discharge solid residue temperature is higher. If customers want rapid cooling, they can choose a water cooling output system.
Emission Treatment system
After the reaction is completed, the flue gas must be cooled and dusted. If the customer’s area has higher emission standards, they can choose a high-end exhaust gas treatment system. The system meets up to EU emission standards.

How to Get Pyrolysis Oil: Working Process of Pyrolysis Plant

Raw Material Feeding

You can choose a manual or automatic feeding system to put the raw material into the reactor. To some extent, the former one can save your initial investment cost, while the latter one is much more effective and it will save your time and labor cost. In general, it is better to preheat the reactor for 30 minutes before feeding to push the air out of the reactor to improve the safety and working efficiency.


Oil&Gas Formation

Beston pyrolysis plant adopts an indirect heating system to prolong the service life of the reactor. The pyrolysis process starts and oil gas generates when the temperature reaches up to 200 ℃. The oil gas first enter the drum to separate impurities such as heavy oil. While the light oil gas will go through the condenser system and be collected as liquid oil. Meanwhile, syngas after purification will be transferred to heat the reactor.


Solid Residue Discharge

Beston discharging system is fully-sealed to protect workers from fly ash. Besides, we also employ water cooling system to cool down the carbon black to 30 degrees soon. (use wastewater from the pyrolysis process). This design makes the discharging system safe and energy-saving. The whole pyrolysis process is pollution-free.


Emission Treatment

There will be exhaust gas produced with oil. That’s why we have designed a dedusting system to purify the exhaust gas. Generally, it includes water washing, water spray, ceramic ring adsorption, and activated carbon adsorption, etc.

Can a Pyrolysis Plant Process Both Plastics and Tyres?
It is not recommended to process plastics and tires separately. Because plastic pyrolysis is prone to wax oil clogging the system; in addition, the carbon black produced by tire pyrolysis can be further processed and utilized. However, the residue produced by plastics is general industrial solid waste. Mixing the residue after pyrolysis will reduce the utilization value of carbon black.
What’re Requirements for Plastic Pyrolysis?

PVC, PET and other similar chlorine & oxygen-containing plastics are not recommended for disposal.

PVC contains chlorine, which will produce hydrogen chloride that corrodes pipes after pyrolysis. In addition, pyrolysis oil will contain chlorine, and burning will release dioxins.

PET does not produce oil when pyrolyzed and contains oxygen elements. This releases oxygen during the pyrolysis process, which poses a safety hazard.

What Standards can High-end Exhaust Gas Treatment Achieve?
Meets European emission standards: sulfur dioxide: 50mg/m3, nitrogen oxides: 200mg/m3, dust particles: 10mg/m3, hydrochloric acid (HCl): 10mg/m3, hydrofluoric acid (HF): 1mg/m3.

What is BLL-16 Semi-continuous Equipment?
Semi-continuous machine is actually batch machine plus automatic feeding (spiral) and 3 water-cooled slag discharge and slag boxes. In addition, 3 water-cooled slagging can basically achieve carbon black production in 3 hours. Normal cooling takes 7 hours.
