How to Make Biochar: Process Flow of Portable Biochar Machine
1. Raw material pretreatment
In order to increase the yield of biochar, the moisture content of the feedstock should be less than 15%. You can get the best quality charcoal if the size is between 8 mm and 12 mm. Therefore, we can provide you with dryers and crushers according to your needs.
2. Biomass pyrolysis
After preheating the reactor for 60 to 90 minutes, the raw materials can be fed into the host through the automatic feeding system. The entire biomass pyrolysis process is in a low-oxygen, micro-pressure environment. The reaction temperature is around 280°C.
3. Combustible gas recovery
In addition, after the reaction proceeds for a period of time, the main furnace produces combustible gas. Combustible gas enters the dust removal system through a dedicated pipeline. The purified combustible gas re-enters the combustion chamber to provide the heat source for the main furnace.
