How to Make Charcoal from Jute Sticks?
Pre-treatment
In order to get more high-quality charcoal, the ideal size of the raw materials is smaller than 20 mm, and the suggested water content is less than 15%. You can dry the fresh jute naturally. Then cut the jute sticks into small pieces. After that, the materials will be transferred into the dryer by a conveyor belt. After drying, they will be sent to the biochar reactor for carbonization.
Charcoal Carbonization & Discharging
The jute sticks enter the main furnace for carbonization. At this time, the temperature in the furnace is about 450℃-600℃. The entire reaction process is under slightly negative pressure and low oxygen. Jute sticks undergo flue gas volatilization, sulfur release, and carbon enrichment to form jute stick charcoal. The charcoal is collected after passing through three water-cooled slag removal systems.
Flue Gas Treatment
The process of carbonizing jute sticks produces a lot of smoke. The flue gas generated during the carbonization process first passes through a cyclone dust collector to remove impurities. The purified combustible gas is then recycled as heating fuel. The exhaust gas will then be purified by the dust removal system and discharged safely.
